Batch-Bearbeitung
Wenn Du bei der Bearbeitung von Fotos richtig effektiv werden möchtest, ist der Inhalt dieses Artikels für dich besonders wichtig.
Stapelverarbeitung ist ein alternativer Begriff für Funktionen, die in einem Zug auf gleich mehrere Objekte angewendet werden. Im Prinzip ist auch die Abarbeitung der Warteschlange faktisch ein Batch-Prozess. Gemeint ist hier aber die tatsächlich gemeinsame Bearbeitung (editieren) mehrerer Fotos oder das Übertragen eines Bearbeitungsprofils auf mehrere Fotos. Andere Software verwendet hier auch den Begriff synchronisieren. Wohlgemerkt: Es geht um die geschickte Verteilung von Werkzeugeinstellungen auf mehrere Bilder und nicht um die Verarbeitung eines Fotos. Es müsste in gutem deutsch also Stapelbearbeitung heißen.
In RawTherapee gibt es dazu zwei Wege. Zum einen lassenen sich Settings einzelner oder aller Werkzeuge von einem Foto auf mehrere Andere übertragen. Also die klassische Copypaste-Methode. Zum Anderen ist es aber auch möglich, Bilder tatsächlich parallel zu bearbeiten.
... das kommt inhaltlich drunter: Both ways involve making a selection of photos you want the processing profile or adjustments applied to. Selections are made using standard key combinations: Shift+click to select a range, Ctrl+click to select individual images, or Ctrl+A to select everything. Both ways are performed from the File Browser tab. The "copypasta" method can also be done via the Filmstrip.
Copypaste - Kopieren von Werkzeugeinstellungen
RawTherapee besitzt eine Zwischenablage, mit der aktuelle Werkzeugeinstellungen übertragen werden können. Die bekannten Windows-Tastenkombinationen für Copypaste, also Strg+C und Strg-V, werden auch hier verwendet, übertragen die Daten aber nicht über die Windows-eigene Zwischenablage. Das funktioniert im Editor (auch in Verbindung mit dem Filmstreifen) und in der Dateiverwaltung. Der Editor hat hierfür sogar zwei Buttons ziemlich oben rechts. Im Filmstreifen und der Dateiverwaltung gibt es die Funktionen im Kontextmenü. Die genannten Tastenkombinationen funktionieren aber überall.
Der Anwendungsfall ist typisch für Bilder aus einem Shooting: Es gibt Bildeigenschaften, wie Weißabgleich, Belichtung, Rauschverhalten bei konstant hohem ISO usw., die sind für alle Bilder eines Shots sehr ähnlich. In so einem Fall bearbeite beim ersten Bild im Editor nur diese Gemeinsamkeiten zu einem guten Zwischenresultat und verteile mit dieser Methode diese Grundeinstellungen auf alle ähnlichen Bilder. Du hast nun für die verbleibenden Bearbeitungsschritte, die durchaus sehr bildspezifisch sein können, einen guten Startpunkt für sämtliche Bilder des Shootings.
Wie gesagt, findest Du die Funktionen zum Kopieren und einfügen auch in den Kontextmenüs des Filmstreifens und in denen von ausgewählten Bildern in der Dateiverwaltung. Dort heißen die Punkte: Profiloperationen > Profil kopieren und Profiloperationen > Profil einfügen.
Selektiv einfügen
Willst Du nicht alle Werkzeugeinstellungen übertragen, sonder nur von ganz speziellen Werkzeugen dann
- drücke statt Strg-v die Kombination Strg+Umschalt+V
- oder wähle im Kontextmenü des Miniaturbildes Profiloperationen > Profil selektiv einfügen
Die Hacker-Methode
Manchmal lohnen sich in speziellen Fällen auch ein paar mehr Handgriffe:
Falls Du mit der Selektion einzelner Werkzeuge noch nicht zufrieden bist und nur ganz spezielle Parameter kopieren willst:
- Speichere das Bearbeitungsprofil (durchaus schon vorselektiert)
- Öffne es in einem einfachen Editor (es muss ein Editor sein, der keine Steuer- oder Formatierungszeichen einfügt und die Kodierung beibehält).
- Lösche dort alle Parameterzeilen, die Du nicht übertragen möchtest. Und speichere das Profil.
- Lade ein Bild in den Editor
- Öffne das editierte Profil (Profil aus Datei laden) - Leider gibt es diese Lade-Funktion nicht im Kontextmenü von Dateimanager und Filmstreifen
To process the lot, what you would usually do is open any one image from the whole series in the Editor tab and tweak it to your liking. Once you have finished tweaking it, you will apply this image's processing profile to all other images in the same series. To do that, go to the File Browser tab, right-click on this photo and select "Processing Profile Operations > Copy", then select the images you want to apply this profile to, right-click on any one of them (it doesn't matter which) and select "Processing Profile Operations > Paste". In one quick operation you have replicated the same tool settings in the whole series of images.
Additionally, RawTherapee lets you apply only a part of the copied processing profile, for example only the "Resizing" tool. To do this, use the "Processing Profile Operations > Paste Partial" option instead of the "Paste" option.
Sync - Parallel-Bearbeitung mehrerer Bilder
RawTherapee lets you instantly apply tool adjustments to a selection of images. Similar functionality in other software is called "sync". This method is useful for when you don't need to see an accurate preview of your changes, for example when you only want to enable the "Resizing" tool in a selection of photos, because when working in the File Browser tab your only preview are the small and inaccurate thumbnails. This method can only be performed from the File Browser tab because you need access to that tab's batch tools (the panel on the right).
When you're in the File Browser tab, select the images you want to batch-adjust (sync), then use the tool panel on the right to make adjustments. Your tweaks can either replace the existing ones ("Set" mode), or be added to them ("Add" mode). For example if you select two photos, one of which has previously been tweaked with +1EV Exposure Compensation and one which has not, and you set Exposure Compensation to +0.6EV, then the previously-tweaked photo would end up having +1.6EV Exposure Compensation in "Add" mode and just +0.6EV in "Set" mode. The photo which was not previously tweaked would have +0.6EV in both modes. You can decide which tools should work in which mode from the Batch Processing tab in Preferences.
